love 'em or hate 'em?
to bid or not to bid?
I'm not sure how many auctions I've been involved in at LL--bid wars or single bids--that horrible feeling when the email is being delivered and you wonder if it will say, "you've been outbid" or "you are the highest bidder". That tension, that anxiety, it's, it's--that feeling!!
Then you receive the congratulatory email and the rush is over. The relief--"IT'S MINE" and the planning continues--of course, you've already done the homework and checked availability and all that stuff. Now it's time to pay the piper and take the trip and return with memories and a property review and stories of sights and foods and people and places.
I just won a short war--those 5 minute bid extensions make me CRAZY. No one bidding against me until the last minute--ack!! sniper!!My husband kept asking if we got it, and I'd say, the b*****d outbid me AGAIN!! But--one well-placed bidding increment and VOILA'!!
