While visiting Anguilla in 2001,   we met a lovely woman.  She was staying alone and would be very quiet. She would swim laps in the ocean and relax on her balcony. We said hello and made small talk.  At a local restaurant one evening, we ended up talking to a very nice gentleman who lived in Anguilla and England.  He was a former rugby player like my husband so they had a lot  in common.  After a few beers, we ended up talking about where we were staying.  Somehow we mentioned the woman staying alone.  He said that he thought he had known her from visiting Anguilla in the past and asked if we would giving his card to her. Well, the matchmaker that I am, I said "of course!!"  The next morning after she swam her laps, I gave her the gentleman's card.  She just had a smile on her face.   Well, I thought that was the end of the story.......

About three months later, I received an email all in capital letters....THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU....He was sending his thanks that the two of them connected by my giving his card to her and he was very very happy!!!   I was so impressed.  I have heard from the Islanders that the two married, moved off the island, and now have a few children....Wow....I do feel special and I do take the credit for the introduction!!!!
