I just cannot comprehend the "green concept" being applicable here. We travel. We frequently fly airplanes. We rent cars. We go to little boutique properties, large resorts, villas and on safaris. We go to big chain hotels like the Fairmont. Having one room that includes a motorized vehicle included as a perk is so far beyond reason, it doesn't even compute as GREEN or ECO-anything. The hotel chain still operates as status quo for all tens of thousands of other guests--swimming pools, bed linens, restaurants, uniforms, limos ad infinitum.... I think this confuses the real intent of green, eco-friendly and whatever buzz-word you can find today. I'm sure saying this is not making me popular at LL marketing, because I see it it as a gimmick--"full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" [but a lure to someone who might think they're being responsible...] I'm far too cynical to believe that concept is valid.
I'm staying at Fairmont Towers, Heliopolis, Egypt next month-in a one bedroom suite, breakfast, pool, AC...HUGE atrium multi-story tower lobby--hardly "eco-friendly--how responsible are they?
I have an great affinity for LL but this "green" promotion seems very silly.
